Meet Dr Victor Selers

At Templestowe Dental Group, Dr Victor Selers has been caring for local families and their children for more than 20 years. Patients know Victor for his calm manner, genuine warmth, and ability to truly listen before offering clear treatment options. He believes people feel most comfortable when they feel informed and in control of their dental care.

Helping anxious patients relax has become one of Victor’s greatest strengths. Many patients comment that his reassuring manner and soothing voice immediately put them at ease. With Victor, appointments are not only comfortable—they’re often filled with laughter as well.

Victor is the founder of Templestowe Dental Group, which has grown from humble beginnings as a single-chair practice into one of the area’s most modern and respected dental clinics.

Coming from a dental family, Victor and his brother Michael studied dentistry together before Michael went on to become a specialist orthodontist. This close professional connection allows Victor to draw on a strong network of expertise, particularly in orthodontics and smile improvement. Victor was also among the foundation dentists in Melbourne and amongst the first to offer Invisalign clear aligners.

Committed to ongoing education, Victor has travelled internationally to attend leading conferences in Europe and the United States, including the European Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry World Congress and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry World Congress. He combines this global knowledge with more than 35 years of real-world clinical experience to deliver outstanding outcomes for patients.

Victor has a natural way with children and enjoys making dental visits fun, relaxed, and positive. Families appreciate his playful nature and ability to help even nervous children feel comfortable and happy in the chair.

Outside the practice, Victor is a proud family man with two daughters and strong ties to the Templestowe community. Having spent much of his early life surrounded by the people and beautiful hills of Templestowe, he remains deeply connected to the area and the families he serves.
